Essay entitled Myself(English Introduction essay) lol

My name is Chen Khin Liong. Friends call me either Brandon or Khin Liong, and I will turn around and smile to you. I’m eighteenth years old this year. Things never change all the year, my face doesn’t seem equal to my age because I looked younger than I suppose to be. I was born on 7th November 1989 signed by Scorpio. Technically, my date of birth is very easy to remember because there’s a famous shop named 7 Eleven. Currently, I’m studying in Cybernetic International College of Technology, taking Business Course major in Law. My hometown is at Tanjong Malim, Perak and now staying with my eldest sister at Sg Long, Kajang.

First and foremost, to be honest, this essay was a rather eventful writing for me. A lot of memories from the past were revisited. I was born in a moderate, peace and happy family which constructed by 7 peoples included me. I’ve three elder sisters and one elder brother. As you can see, I’m the youngest in my family but it doesn’t mean I been treated better than others. I would say my parents treat all of us as equal. When the definition of equal emphasized, all of us will be punished fairly if one of us had done something wrong. Our parents conduct us strictly in order to curve a brighter path for us. Its prevent scutterness in the future. My dad is an impressive man who owns a driving school. He earns a lot of money with single handed for us. Nevertheless, my mom is a successful pioneer in plating flower and housekeeping. A single dust never crosses her sight. My parents teach us well, strict and planned. They put all their efforts to my eldest sister with a hope its worthy because those younger included me needs her as an example. Obviously, I felt pity to her and her role in the big picture, I couldn’t imagine how stress she were in guiding and controlling us.

Five of us have moved on and finding a hole to fit into the world, but speaking to them about the past, I am doubly relieved and joyous that we enjoyed good times back then. Currently, my first sister is working in a lawyer firm. Externally, from my point of view, I think her job is easy and the most important is stress-less. For your information, stress-less is one of the factors we need to consider when looking for a job. Nevertheless, in internal point, emphasizing the terms "no pain, no gain", actually she had already sacrificed alot as in time spent which wouldn't return. 8 years, totally 8 years, by hook and by crook, used 8 years, 2920 days, 700080 hours, 4204800 minutes to swap with experience and THAT'S HER TODAY. By the way, she was married and had a one and a half year old daughter named Sydney. Next, about my married second sister who’s currently works as a graphic designer lecturer in college, she owns the biggest spirituality among 5 of us. Meanwhile my third sister, isolated from us far away. However, to meet her, I need RM4000 to fly to Moscow, Russia. She’s taking medicine course there, our future doctor. Regarding my brother, he is cool, future mechanical engineering in University of Nottingham. He demands a brightest future.

I do realize, things that we have to work for don't come to us by themselves, so it's my duty to do my best, in both studies and work, while practicing good ethics and maintaining good relationships with my colleagues, classmates and family. It sounds easy, it took courage and I will work hard on it.

Sincerely,

Brandon Chen

Differences between sole proprietor and partnernetship(Accounting Homework)

The business sole proprietorship is the simplest and most common forum of business organization. Legally and for tax purposes the individual owner is the business. The liabilities and profits are personal to the owner. The legal of doing business as a business partnership comes into existence when there’s an association of more than one person. Unlike sole proprietorship, the liabilities and profits are shared among partner. There are more differences between sole proprietorship and partnership I had picked to be discussed here which are controlling, liability, taxes and administration.

In the term of “controlling”, sole proprietor has total control of business and complete share of profits. Meanwhile for partnership, management and profits shared between partners per the terms of the partnership agreement. Back to sole proprietor, the assets and liabilities of him/her will pass to his or her estate, but often the expertise and knowledge of the business usually die with the sole proprietor. Upon the death, business can be arranged to be transferred to a family member or anyone from will written. Meanwhile, for partnership, interest in it cannot be transferred without the consent of the other partner. Death or withdrawal of any partner dissolves the partnership.

Secondly, we talk about “liability”. In sole proprietorship, all of the personal and business assets are at risk. The unlimited liability is the greatest disadvantages of this type business. Conversely, for partnership, partners are generally liable for obligation of General of partnership and tort damages incurred by other partners. In order to limit the liability of a partner, such entities often elect to be treated filing a certificate with the Secretary of State.

In addition, we move towards “taxes”. Tax reported on Sole proprietor’s tax form. As said, this kind of business form is the simplest business for tax purposes. Unlike sole proprietorship, partnerships are passing through entities for tax purposes. The partnership itself does not pay taxes. In other words, each partner is taxed directly upon his or her share of profits.

Administrative are not a requirement for both sole proprietor and partnership. By all mean, sole proprietor obtaining business license and registering trade name but partnership obtaining proper licenses and permits.

Safety on the Net(Communication Homework)

Based on the article I chose in one of the latest Star Paper on title “Safety on the Net, with all regards, I would proudly to present my speech which assisting the terms “Net does Harming”.

I can assure every single word from this summary are truly happified by me. First and foremost, it is all regarding the disadvantages of using communication tools such as camera phone, live webcam, and forum and so on. Externally, we have been given a path of direct vision tread towards its major benefit more than disadvantages in internal point. There was once a case, phone users misused their high-technology phone issues forwarding indecent contains such as abusing comment, unpleasant photo and irritated video. These are highly potential to embarrass their friend upside down.

In addition, I conclude a summary from the paper-cutting I pasted along with this page. “A girl named Jenny dared his boyfriend, Alex to photograph himself in nude condition and he did it as ordered." Haplessly, the girl forwarded the photo to her closest friend who in turn forwarded it to their friends as it has being laughter stuff for them.

Last but not least, in Malaysia, 42% of users who go online are youths age 24 or younger. Based on statistic by MCCM (Malaysia Communication and Multimedia Malaysia), little has been done to educate them about keeping safe in virtual world.

In conclusion, Someone must think twice making personal video or picture of yourself. As indirectly mentioned, once the clip is out of your hands, you become a potential victim of cyber crime.

IMBA Schedule

Second semester is getting started and i'm wondering if i will dreaming on when will be my last year. Ishs, screw up. My new timetable defeating my study enthusiasm, it seems more likely a part time student instead of full timer - Second Semester schedule disappointed me.

College assigns me 5 subjects in this semester.
~ Writing For Academic Purposes
~ Introduction to Accounting
~ Interpersonal Communication
~ E-Commerce
~ Malaysian Studies

As mentioned, in my previous college, i have attended several subjects which have abilities to offer credits to some similar subject trusted will be taken in my current college. My point is i successfully skipped Malaysian Studies. Hooray for me. By the way, from the bottom of my heart, please cocksure-convince me that this semester, lecturers i meant will neglect procrastination by teaching directly, simply and motivated. And of course, prevarication confuses me. No more MR/MISS TYPO and MR/MISS ERROR.

Relieved^^

I've already received my examination results. Let's just say that it totally owns the hell out of my First Semester results. No exceptions, gains all across the board. If comparing to my first semester of my previous college, then yes, there are changes, however the average increased, which I'm pleased with. Toughness increasing hardworks enhancing too. Some subjects were spectacular misses (like how some people miss goals in football when it is easier to score than miss), missing the grades that I want by mere marks. Morales studies, totally unlike the rest of my subject score, thus being unmodifyable).

4A+ (psychology, Management, English, Math)
1A- (Computing)
1B (morale studies)

However, this semester has showed strong signs of improvement and reward for the hardship put in.

Hope you all did well!

2oo8 - A New Year, A New Outlook

A new year.

It's time for us to let go of the disappointments, and to build on the many successes of 2007, during the upcoming year. Another year, another chance to improve on our previous endeavors. Personally I'm not the kind of resolution person, since resolutions, like promises, tend to be things which are "made to be broken". I just hope that this year things will improve for the better, for I am at the crossroads in my college life - it is second semester, and a strong motivation will help a lot in my final year in Business Law.

A new year also brings a potential new danger into our lives. The next general election in Malaysia is coming, and despite the many objections regarding the fairness of the election process in the country, it seems that it will go on as planned. One thing I very much dislike in my fellow Malaysians is that we tend to remember only things important to us, and forget the rest. In other words, we are edging slowly, but surely, to the path of selfishness, the path of "every man for himself", the path of unrivalled kiasusiti - that will more likely than not end up in grief. After all, a multiracial country cannot live with racial sentiments constantly being put out everyday - it unsettles people, whether they realise it or not, because these things chip away at a person's conscience slowly. But I am digressing.

To get back to the point, I am especially disappointed that people can get so caught up in their own pursuit of power, of wealth, and other materialistic pleasures that they leave behind empathy, compassion, and such towards their fellow man. There always seems to be an exaggerated outburst on certain issues dear to everyone's hearts, that then dies down almost immediately, without any form of protest, reminder, or anything of that kind. We have seen this with so many big, ambitious projects launched not only by our Government, but by companies, clubs, and bodies - we tend to overreach. It's especially sad when we then look back at the many things we didn't push to the end, and then regret. Especially sad.

The same perhaps could be said of our civic mindedness. Obviously the Government may make mistakes, they may really irresponsible in certain issues, but then how much blame can be put on them? The people should be civic minded too. Compare ourselves to the so called "morally deficient" Western world - how many P&Qs do we get when doing business (be it grocery shopping, or eating out etc), how common is it to see people donating to the poor, voluntarily cleaning up places and all? I'm sure there are a number of people who do this in Malaysia, but we all can certainly do better, in my opinion. The mentality that doing charity is non-beneficial to oneself unless if he uses it (e.g. advertising one's own credibility) is something that should be left behind with the moral textbooks in secondary school.

I am very much looking forward to the New Year, not only in education, in developments around the country, in research, in work, but most importantly, in life.

No offense meant to any of the parties mentioned in the article.

Have a happy new year, and all the best in your efforts over 2008!
